Enchanting
Weapons, armour, gems and jewelry can be enchanted. Weapons can also be transmuted.
Transmuted weapon
A transmuted weapon is a weapon that instead of only dealing its normal damage, for example piercing for knives, it will deal less of that damage but then also deal elemental damage with each hit. Transmuted weapons are always rank 65, no matter the rank before transmuting.
Enchanted gear
Enchanted gear is gear that have some extra bonus associated with it. There can be 2 enchants on a piece of gear. Earrings cannot be enchanted.
Enchantment station
The enchanting station is called a thaumaturgist. It's a golden ring.
First select an item from the list or drag it into the upper-right slot.
The rows are for material used in the recipes:
- Top row is for first enchant
- Middle row is for second enchant
- Bottom row is for transmuting
Enchant skill
The higher skill the better ingredients you can use.
- Quality 1 = 1
- Quality 2 = 25
- Quality 3 = 50
- Quality 4 = 75
- Quality 5 = 100
The max enchant possible is q6 but is only available as drops from monsters, q5 is the highest that can be crafted.
If ingredients don't fit a recipe
Then the enchant will fail and ingredients will be lost. So take care when filling out the rows.
Transmuting and durability
When transmuting, some of the durability will be regained.
Example
For example the recipe for putting increased damage against Alfar on a bow is: cinder, blood, sparkstone and nith.
If your enchant skill level is 25, meaning you can use max quality 2 (q2), then you can put 5 x q2 cinder in first slot, 5 x q2 blood in second slot, 5 x q2 sparkstone in third slot and last 1 x nith in the round slot. That will produce a quality 2.00 enchant. If you had put q1 blood in instead but still q2 cinder and sparkstone then the quality would be 1.66. Now make sure you have enough gold to do the enchant and click apply.
Enchanting gems
Gems can hold enchants, which can then later be applied to gear. It costs a more gold to put an enchant on a gem than on the gear directly.
- Sapphire and diamond can be enchanted up to q5.
- Emerald and ruby up to q4.
- Amethyst and aventurine up to q3.
- Crystal and turquoise up to q2.
- Garnet up to q1.
