Tasks are found in the book icon at the top of the screen. They include one time, daily and weekly missions that are generally based around killing monsters or gathering.
Tasks are found in task menu at the top of your screen in GUI mode.Tasks can be tracked in the GUI so that you do not need to keep opening your taskbook to check progress.
