Getting a Home

Owning a home requires a Premium subscription and a housing deed which corresponds to the type of home you wish to own. Houses can also be traded or "sold" to other players.

Note that housing provides little more than a bind point and bank access; there is no protection from AOE spells or other players destroying your door to kill you while you are inside.

Locations

Homes can be found mostly in villages, but a handful are scattered throughout Agon. Players can either "build" a home on an existing base or "purchase" a vacant home. The deed process is the same for either option.

Home types

Each home can bind one owner and one or more guests. Each player can only be bound to a single home, regardless of whether they are an owner or guest. Some homes have the option of adding guest binds by building guest room furniture.

In addition to the owner, these are the available guest binds for each type of home:

Overview of home features
Type Guests Guestroom furniture Large guestroom furniture
Cottage 1
House 2
Villa 3
Large Villa 3 Extra guest if installed
Keep 4 Extra guests if installed

Deeds

Deeds are crafted using multiple crafting professions. Each type of deed requires one deed draft and one deed seal plus a number of housing modules and building permits. You do not need to be at a crafting station, you may craft all required items from the crafting window in GUI mode.

Type Housing Modules Building Permits
Cottage 25 2
House 50 4
Villa 100 8
Large Villa 250 16
Keep 500 32

Deed Crafting

  • Deed Drafts are found under Scribing (Lvl 50) -> Deeds.
    • Materials required:
      • 25 Cephalopod Ink, which can be farmed from the Krakens or made using the Cooking skill (Lvl 50) from squid. Squid are caught using a fish box on a Reed Trawler.
      • 25 Papyrus Plant, which spawn randomly throughout Agon and can be harvested from bushes.
  • Deed Seals are found under Alchemy (Lvl 25) -> House Building Items.
    • Materials required:
      • 20 Carnauba Wax, which can be harvested from bushes on Rubiyat (rare), farms in player cities, or found in Chaos chests.
      • 20 Flatsedge Plant, which can be harvested in certain areas around Ymir's Tear.
  • Housing Modules are found under Construction (Lvl 25) -> House Building Items.
  • Building permits are purchased from the NPC Councilor in Capital Cities for 25,000 g each.
  • Once you have a deed draft, deed seal, and the correct number of housing modules and building permits, you can craft the deed you want under Scribing (Lvl 25) -> Deeds.

To use a deed, you need to have it in your backpack (they are a "No Drop" item). Move near the desired home base or vacant home that matches the type of deed you have. Double-click on the deed in your backpack to buy the home.

Guests

Owner can invite guest(s) to live in the home, they will get it as house spawn point plus can help pay taxes. The amount of guests depends on the variables listed above under Home Types.

Doors and Furniture

It is highly advisable to build a door and install it as soon as you gain ownership of your home. This will keep other players out; however, it is possible for them to break your door to gain access to your home. Doors have hit points. Only the owner of a home can install a door.
