Monster Hunter Skill:

Idea borrowed from Old School RuneScape, “Slayer” skill.

This suggestion is for steam launch, it will keep players engaged by encouraging them to farm different mobs to complete “Monster Hunter Tasks”. Adding variance and content for people to PVE, which adds PVP by getting people out in the world doing things.

This skill will be leveled by completing “Monster Hunter tasks” assigned by various “Monster Hunter NPCs” located around the map. Completing these tasks will award points useable in the NPC’s shop and XP in the skill.

Monster Hunter NPC’s:

Racial Capital NPCs- One located in each of the Racial Capitals. These will assign Tasks up to “Hard” level monsters and cap out at Tier III (skill level 50) rewards.

Chaos city NPCs- One located at a Chaos City on Yssam, Niflheim, Cairn, Rubyait and one in a middle map chaos city. This Monster Hunter NPC will assign up to tier V tasks/assignments. Only monsters on the continent that the NPC is on. (Example: Niflheim NPC in Whiteview tier 4 assignment is 22 Yeti’s.)

Player City NPC- add a monster hunter NPC to the Barracks that is the same as the Chaos City NPC’s. But assigns to monsters on whatever continent the city is located on.

Monster Hunter Tasks:

Players will be able to choose the difficulty of their task/assignment. I’ve adapted the tiers to the pre existing mob tier system, very easy, easy, medium, hard, very hard, boss.

Each Tier of Tasks/assignments will give points only spendable in their own tier of the rewards shop.(to avoid people farming easy mobs to get points to spend in tier IV or V shop)

I can make tasks for each continent and separate by tiers and logical amounts but would want input from others and coordination/desire to implement from developers for that list.

These tasks will have to be balanced well due to some monsters in the same tier taking longer to kill than others. (example ‘Very Hard Leenspar Golem’ takes way longer to kill than ‘Deathless Mage which is also Very Hard’)

Tier I or Very Easy and Easy: example 75 Goblins

Tier II or Medium: example 57 Achrid

Tier III or Hard: example 35 Gravelord

Tier IV or Very Hard: example 16 Minotaur Hero

Tier V or Boss: example tasks-1 Ice/fire Dragon, 2 demon, 1 demon lord, 1 kraken, 1 of whatever champion.
