Buffs and Debuffs

What is it
A buff is a bonus that enhances your character and a debuff is something that degrades your character.
For example a fire buff will give you added protection against fire, while a fire debuff will reduce that same protection.
Sources
- Spells being cast on you either by yourself or by others or monsters.
- Enchanted gear or weapons.
- Stat titles.
- Food and potions
- Oracles in clan cities
Indicators
On top of the screen is the buffs and debuff indicators. Beneath each icon there is a timer for when it will run out.
Mouse over an icon in GUI mode will reveal the buff/debuff type.
Buff don't stack
If you have multiple buffs running they wont stack.
Buffs from enchanted gear don't stack either, so if you have a ring with fire protection together with a fire shield buff plus fire ward from someone else, only 1 of the 3 buffs will be in effect.
