Crafting skills that use research system
How to research to level up a craft
You need a blank schematic. Those can be crafted using scribing. Then double-click that schematic and click on the item you want to research, the item will be consumed, and the schematic is no longer blank. The more durability and higher rank the item was, the more XP the schematic contains.
Now once you have one or more non-blank schematics, drag them into the slot in the research tab in paperdoll. They will be queued up for research, which will take some time and that time passes both when logged in and not.
Dye crafting
(On Legacy server (non-Steam) only dye crafting uses research to level up.)
Notice that it is dyed armour that can be researched for dye crafting, not dye itself. And some colors cannot be researched.
